Your Conservative Councillors for Hethersett

All across South Norfolk forty six Conservative community champions are standing in this election, each dedicated to solving local problems and growing a stronger economy and creating better lives for local people one family at a time, one street at a time and one place at a time. Here in Hethersett Ward our three local Conservative Councillors work hard to improve your lives.

About David

David is retired consultant who specialised in troubleshooting IT projects. He is an experienced District Councillor who has represented Hethersett for nearly 12 years and on the County Council since 2017. He is a former Chairman of the Council He is active in the local community and is a member of the Hethersett and Meltons Sports Association and founder member and Chairman of Hethersett Dementia Support Group.

He is Secretary of the local Woodhall Place Residents Association and Secretary of the Queens Head Hethersett Golf Society. He has supported community projects in Bawburgh, Hethersett & Little Melton including village halls, sporting clubs, senior citizen travel, farmers markets, childrens’ nursery and more. David is very aware of local problems and uses his experience to solve them. He aims to work with residents by listening to their views, concerns and acting where possible or advising them on the right direction to take

About Adrian

Adrian is a qualified accountant who has lived and worked in South Norfolk for over 25 years. He has previously been a County Councillor. Outside of politics he is active in local arts and sports organisations and enjoys cycling and walking.

Adrian has the enthusiasm, energy and commitment required to be a district councillor. If elected his financial experience would help the Council to run on business-like lines and to focus on developing a strong local economy with great job prospects for residents, whilst seeking to protect our rural environment and natural resources and especially maintaining the gaps between settlements

About Phil

Phil grew up in Hethersett and has a special attachment to the area. He spent 17 years working for Aviva in in their life and pensions division before pursuing a career change and becoming a consultant following the award of a degree at the UEA. Phil is an experienced Councillor with a reputation for getting things done for local people. He was instrumental in setting up renewable energy projects across Norfolk’s schools.

He likes to keep fit and active and is a keen cyclist. He cycled 130 miles on the Norfolk leg of the Tour of Britain to raise money for a hearing aid for a 6 year old boy in his ward. As a Councillor he was proud to have delivered superfast broadband to Wreningham Village Hall and contributed to sports equipment for womens’ football at Newton Flotman to enable them to take part in Norfolk FA tournaments.
